HEALTH

Overview:

Explore Holy Cross Social Service Society's transformative healthcare initiatives, which are dedicated to uplifting underserved communities throughout India. With over 1.4 billion people, ensuring quality healthcare access remains formidable. Our organization is committed to tackling this challenge head-on by prioritizing health and hygiene, particularly through advancing the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and supporting Ayushman Bharat.

Challenges:

Rural, tribal, and remote areas suffer from inadequate infrastructure, resulting in barriers to healthcare access for residents.

There's an urgent need to increase awareness about preventive healthcare measures and hygiene practices to combat diseases effectively.

Insufficient sanitation facilities pose significant health risks, including waterborne illnesses, highlighting the importance of clean water sources and proper toilet facilities.

Malnutrition remains a pressing issue, particularly among marginalized communities, adversely affecting overall health outcomes.

Adolescents face a higher prevalence of reproductive health issues due to limited information and inadequate access to services, underscoring the need for targeted interventions to address these gaps.

Strategy:

Our strategy at Holy Cross Social Service Society revolves around active community engagement, delivering vital healthcare services through health camps and targeted awareness initiatives, and spearheading sanitation improvement projects in alignment with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. We support Ayushman Bharat by enhancing healthcare accessibility and affordability, especially for marginalized communities. Furthermore, we prioritize conducting awareness programs and capacity-building initiatives that promote menstrual hygiene and reproductive health, addressing critical needs in these areas.
