COVID-19 RESPONSE

COVID 19 RESPONCE

The COVID-19 pandemic caused the most distress to the poor and disadvantaged, including migrant laborers, tribal families, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups. Our team of volunteers continues to work on COVID-19 response activities.

During the first wave of the COVID-19 crisis:

Holy Cross Organization has distributed cooked food and Dry ration kits to return migrants and disadvantaged families.

Distributed education materials, snacks & sanitary napkins to young girls to engage them in education activities at their homes during the lockdown period.

During the second wave of the COVID-19 crisis:

Holy Cross Organization continuously generates awareness on hand washing, personal hygiene, symptoms of COVID-19, proper usage of masks, social distancing, etc. Providing direct services that include the distribution of food rations to needy families and the distribution of masks and sanitizer bottles to front-line workers and disadvantaged groups.

Particular focus on Awareness of COVID vaccination:

To win the war against COVID-19, we have to ensure that everyone eligible gets vaccinated. Many people are still not taking the vaccine as there has been a lot of misinformation surrounding the vaccines and their development.

To raise awareness among the indigenous people in our target villages and debunk the myths related to vaccinations, the Holy Cross Organization is organizing the COVID-19 Vaccination Awareness Campaigns in tribal villages.
